We woke up to a dusting of snow in Highlands this morning.
Below, you can see we started digging a ditch to hold a 12" culvert that will carry drainage water from the condos across the fairway and into the creek on the opposite side of the hole. Like I said before, digging holes at Highlands CC is no easy task because the ground is full of various land mines. Yesterday, the Town of Highlands electric department came down to mark their utilities for us. In this ditch alone, we will have crossed 2 town water lines, a sewer line, an 18" steel culvert, a phone line, the buried power line servicing the condos, 3 irrigation lines, 2 abandoned irrigation lines, multiple corrugated plastic drainage pipes and an old 2" galvanized pipe that no one really knows what it was for. We're grateful for ground penetrating radar.
