After steady flurries most of the day, this is what we are left with. I'm sure this will all be gone tomorrow with high temperatures expected to be in the 40's.
It's like Christmas morning for me after coming across this! Again, my dilemma is how to get it out of the attic at the Hudson House. It was put into storage a long time ago when access to the attic was larger. I'm determined to find a way!
Speaking with David Carver today, I learned the history of the model. Mr. McKey's group had this built after the new Clubhouse was constructed circa 1980. The Fairway Villas (condos) were also completed at this time. This model was constructed and displayed in the Hudson House to show potential members the Club's real estate that was available. The white color homes were vacant lots at the time. The brown color homes depicted existing homes at the time.
After sitting in the attic for 38 years, this is great shape. I have an appreciation for modeling to scale, so this gets me more excited than it does the average person.
