Invasive Species on the Highlands Plateau

Knotweed and other invasive species (including Kudzu) are becoming more common in Highlands.  I work with a local group who is making an effort to eradicate these species that can become a detriment to the natural environment.  Click the link above for an informative article on the subject of Knotweed.  Other examples of harmful species in Highlands: Burning bush (know for it's brilliant red fall color) and Bittersweet (sold by all grocery stores as fall wreaths).
