For the second year in a row, GCI magazine decided to do a "Turfheads Take Over" edition with all articles written by superintendents and industry leaders. For the second year, I was selected to submit an article, this time writing on personality dynamics. In addition to enjoying to write, this is something that has always fascinated me. In 2007-2008, I took the Myers Briggs Type Indicator Test for the first time during the Leadership Highlands class and was mesmerized by it (I am an ESTJ). It was a way for me to somewhat quantify those things I was always trying to understand about people. The following year, in 2009, I spent a week in Atlanta at the American Management Association (AMA) learning and studying to become a certified practitioner. Its been a tremendous tool for me in helping me learn and what my staff needs to be successful. Enjoy...
