Mowing is performed 7 days a week. As you can imagine, the constant turning of mowers on collars and roughs can add a great deal of wear and stress to these areas. Therefore, in areas where the mowers are forced to turn on collars, the staff uses plastic boards to spin the mower on. This takes the stress off of the turf resulting in less wear and tear. It makes mowing slightly more challenging because the operator must continually move the board to his next pass.
