Our total rainfall to date is: 52 INCHES
I consider ever inch of snow we had in the winter to equate to .10" of rain. Essentially a one inch rain would deliver 10" of snow. I am not sure how accurate it is but I have heard that in the past.
The Highlands Biological Station keeps records as well but they are never comparible to what we have at HCC. The Upper Cullasaja Watershed Assoc also keeps accurate records as well. There is an electronic range gauge along the bank of Club Lake that they will come check monthly. In fact the white "canister" next to the picnic table is that rain gauge.
