There is a lot going on today...high temperature of 62F with our foot on the gas pedal! Buckle up and hold onto your bonet because there are a lot of photos here...
Behind the 13th tee, we are reclaiming more of the creek by exposing more of the rock base and then stacking boulders into the eroded portions of the bank. It now looks cleaner and more of a dramatic feature.
Above, the old cement dam on #12 (that was once used to divert water into a holding tank and then pumped on the golf course in what was the first HCC irrigation system) was removed. This allowed us to really clean up the bank of the creek below the 12th green. I can't begin to tell you how much more manicured this area looks compared to years past!
Below, also on #12, Lyn and Willy are creating a curb to direct surface water to the creek, rather than it settling in the turf. The main objective in any drainage project, is to eliminate runoff sources to the area that's being drained. The only water we want settling on #12 fairway is that, that falls from the sky.

Above, also on #12, you can see we reworked the entire are to the left of the cart path just past the ladies tee. In fact, the area across the path, happens to be the "green tee" location, which is being leveled and re-grassed. A load of sod is being delivered tonight, which will finish the areas mentioned.
The next few photos below, show you the completed work on the right side of hole #15. This area was in horrible shape and is now very attractive.
Above: Before and after!
Now, lets jump back to #11, where the sod has been removed and all of the fill material from the croquet lawn is being pushed across the low portion of the fairway. What a project! There is a lot of material to move!
Next, on #10, a truck load of sod (9,000ft2) was laid today, with the green side facing up.
Above, repairs made to "the island" on #10 and sod will be finished by tomorrow afternoon.
Finally, some up to date photos of the progress at the croquet lawn (believe it or not, we are looking to grass the lawn next week):
