The croquet lawn is continuing to come along with the lower rock wall complete and a great start on the upper rock wall.  Getting the rock veneer completed in a timely fashion was a major concern of mine but it has fortunately turned out to be a relatively quick aspect of the project.  You'll also notice where the 80/20 sand/peat moss root zone mix is being installed over the layer of pea gravel on lawn's footprint.  


Irrigation will be installed this week.  You will see this project quickly move along to the point we will be looking at grassing the lawn and surrounds about 2 weeks from now.



Even the surrounding area has been graded and prepped, giving a good idea of what the finished product will be look like.


12 inches of rootzone mix is being installed over top of the gravel and drainage layer.  At this depth and square footage, over 7,000 cubic feet (or 260 cubic yards) of sand mix is needed.  That equates to about 32 dump truck loads of sand.
