Wednesday

Here are three photos from the croquet project that are taken from a different perspective.  Today was spent digging the massive footer of the wall from the ground.  That was no easy task given the size and weight of the concrete and rebar.

We started laying sod back on #9 fairway but ran into a slight challenge.  The sod was frozen to the pallets and getting it apart was no easy task.  We still managed to get about 10 pallets laid before switching gears.  The remainder of the sod was hauled back to golf course maintenance where it can spend the night in the relatively warm basement of the maintenance facility.  Night temperatures are expected to dip back down to 20*F.  We'll be able to get out first thing and knock a majority of the sod out.  We initially covered all of the sod in black plastic thinking it would help hold enough heat to prevent the sod from turning to an ice cube.

Below: Chad continues to work out the fine grading details as well as getting rid of the estimated 85 stumps we removed from the soil between #14 and #15.  Just like I showed the croquet expansion photos from a different perspective, here are some new photos taken above #15 green.  Our hope is to get 2 loads of sod next week to get a start on grassing this area.
