We have a bunch of different projects happening on the course today. Pinestraw is being finished up and the course is being mowed out. This year, we are trying something new. Rather than mowing all fairways on Monday, Wednesday, Friday (and many times Saturday), we will mow fairways everyday, but just 9 holes at a time. This means the fairways will still be mowed the same amount of times, just alternating nines. Since we are back to mowing stripes (requires much more time), this will ensure the staff can finish without getting caught by golf since we only have 2 mowers.
Above, at the driving range, we are installing drainage and irrigation at the back of the range. The irrigation ties into the new building, allowing range staff to wash range balls. My staff and I are looking forward to getting through these projects so we can devote more time back on the golf course. With a staff of 19, every single person counts and help is always needed to keep the course in top shape.
