Fortunately, the rain slowed a bit to a mist and we were able to get out of the shop. We completed 12 of the raised beds on the nursery lot. There will be 36 total beds...3 sections of 12. Each section will be terraced down the hill. The final result will be spectacular! We will be incorporating rock work in addition to vegetables a lot of flowers that members will be allowed to harvest!
We finally finished trenching the irrigation line to the equipment washpad. This was like digging in a mine field! We had to locate and cross 2 gas lines, a water and electric line. Slow digging and certainly not much fun. As I mentioned before, this is something I should have done a long time ago because there will be a cost savings realized by the club that will in turn pay for the project many times over. Great job to the staff for careful digging!
