With a great week of weather ahead of us, there is a lot going on. The irrigation system was pressured up today and air bled from the higher points around the club. On #12 and #14 greens, we were able to calibrate the sprinkler heads and adjust them so the water is distributed properly on the new putting greens. The sod for the new putting greens is coming from a sod farm outside of Chicago and will be cut and installed during the week of March 10th. I'm excited to get the sod down and start grooming it for upcoming season.
Tomorrow, the 12th approach will be grassed. Once that is complete, the only thing remaining to do to the new greens, is sod the actual putting surfaces themselves.
10,000ft2 of sod was installed on the 10th hole today. Between Wednesday and Thursday, 36,000ft2 of additional sod will be installed on the golf course! Stay tuned the next couple days because I will have some cool drone shots available for you to see the progress! Exciting times!
What is even more rewarding, is seeing the golf course being cleaned up! We have a tractor mounted blower going full time, cleaning off fairways and rough. The golf course looks fantastic for this time of year and I can ensure you, this will be the best year ever for the golf course!
