On February 26th, the Town of Highlands will be without power from approximately 8:00AM to 6:00PM. The reason is, Duke Power is bringing in a tree crew of over 100 people to work on trees that are in danger of falling on key transmission lines. In order for them to do the work safely, the power must be off. Please be aware of this Wednesday, whether or not you live in Highlands full time or part time. If you have a generator, this is the reason why it will run for most of the the day on Wednesday, February 26th. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or call Town Hall at (828) 526-2118.
