Another 9,000ft2 of sod is installed on the first hole! In addition to that, we started mowing fairways and the practice tee! With the mild afternoons (low 50’s) some of the south facing slopes are starting to grow.
The afternoon shadows are making it difficult to photograph the hillside above the 1st green. Many of the more regional sod farms are sold out of Kentucky Bluegrass Sod. Therefore, we are using a company in Chicago to get sod from. Since the grass is grown in a much colder climate, it is farm more dormant than the turf growing in Highlands. With warm weather, that will be changing fairly quickly.
