Friday Update

The turf has been removed off of the 17th approach.  This will be a neat project because we are not only reclaiming a front right hole location on the putting green, but we are also reshaping the approach to include the movement and topography that Donald Ross first envisioned for the hole.  This season, if your golf ball lands short of the green, you'll potentially have a much different shot compared to years past.

We are applying more sand to the approaches this afternoon.  These areas can't get enough sand.  The consistent topdressings help firm the surfaces and also help dry the surface over time.

Above and Below: This week, our team finished installing a new rock curb at the croquet lawns that will replace the 2"x10" wood barriers we had prior.  It's a classier look and a nice upgrade to the croquet facility.

Above and Below: At the Clubhouse, we're pouring the footers for what will be the anchor points for the event tent that is used a couple times a year.  The company currently uses two, 30-gallon water barrels, spaced out every 10 feet, to anchor the tent to the ground.  This new setup will make the tent look a lot nicer and also eliminate the need for us to fill water barrels during setup.
