It definitely feels like winter this morning! Accounting for the wind chill, it feels like 15 degrees! With the golf course closed for the season, it's time for us to do all the disruptive maintenance practices that we refrain from doing while the golf course is open for play. The main thing we started on is fairway aeration. Our goal is to have all fairways aerated and cleaned up before Christmas. While the process can be done much faster, the fact that we lose frosty mornings and poor weather days, makes it drag on a couple weeks doing it this time of year. Once this is complete, we'll be ready to start topdressing fairways after the new year. It's going to be a busy, productive off-season, so be sure to keep checking in to see the many improvements that we'll be making to the golf course!
