One of our goals this winter is to beatify and simplify the look around the 10th tee, in front of the Hudson House. We first removed the small boulder wall that was first installed back when the Hudson House was remolded (circa 2019). While it wasn't a terrible look, the stones were often loose and it created a safety hazard. Golf carts would also hit the stones, which loosened many in the first place. With the boulders gone (they are being hauled to hole #1 where they will be used for a creek bank stabilization project later this winter), we are sloping the soil from the tee top level down to the asphalt level. The gentle slope will be very easy for golfers to traverse. The steps and the handrail were also removed. The entire area will be grassed, with no landscape plantings other than what is currently behind the tee.
