Now that we are pretty much frost free for the rest of the season, we are able to start sprucing up our pots, window boxes and gardens. Nathan and Rita are doing a great job with this and it's our goal to have the courtyard area looking great for Sunday's Mother's Day Bruch in the Clubhouse. In our climate, the rule of thumb is to not plant any annuals until May 15th. From mid-May to mid-September, our chance for damaging frost is minimal. By planting prior to May 15th, one is taking a huge financial risk. When we have beautiful days in April, it is hard to be patient and not jump the gun. We saw that first hand this May, when we experienced 20*F plus mornings during the first week and a half of May.
