With only a few days left until opening day, we are focused on getting the team oriented and trained to what our daily routine is going to look like. Personally, this gets me even more excited because all the details are being fine tuned and the golf course is looking better with every day that passes. The golf course looks fantastic! The greens are still a week or two from being in great shape but all around, we are a few weeks ahead of where we usually are for this time of year. The parking lot is cleaned up and it seems like it's been a long time since it served as ground zero; our staging grounds/ dump area for the irrigation, tee and bunker projects. In short, we are ready for your return!
Below, our spring fertilizer was delivered this morning. This particular application is one of the most important fertilizer aps we make all year. Not only will these nutrients carry us through the summer, but the fertilizer prills are also impregnated with an herbicide that prevents crabgrass and goosegrass germination. This 22-0-7 Polyon fertilizer is spread at a rate of 300 lbs. per acre and is scheduled to go out on Monday, April 10th. The fertilizer analysis we choose is based off the prior year's soil test results.
