Every golf course needs to have a good turf nursery with turf that matches what's found on the putting greens on the golf course. Our turf nursery is located at the back of the practice facility. Every spring, there is always a half dozen places that have to be plugged due to damage from any number of things. This damage was caused by the Graden verticutter getting a little too aggressive on the crest of a hill. We'll pull a plug from the nursery that is the same size as what is needed on the golf course and simply replace the void with new grass. By the end of the day, it will be impossible to tell anything happened that caused minor damage to a spot or two on the putting greens.
