On Friday afternoon at 3PM, we were made aware of water pouring out of the ground on the left side of #1. We knew right away that it wasn't irrigation because there are no water lines of ours within 10 feet of this area. Dave Latta, leader of the HCC Community Association who's been working hard to get the condo water up and running, quickly chimed in on our 2-way radios, letting us know it was more than likely a condo issue. Their plumber, who was fortunately on site, dug up the area and determined it was an old drain valve from the condos that was either open or broken, when they opened another water valve in the condo parking lot.
For the next few days, until the Condo folks determine how they will deal with this, the area is marked Ground Under Repair and we also placed an orange pylon there to alert golfers that there is a hole there. I am posting this update so when you see it, you don't incorrectly assume it is an issue with our new irrigation system.
