All par 3 tees received a topdressing of the organic mix and seed that we use on the practice tee. The purpose of this was to fill all the divots, old and new. Once the tees are mowed tomorrow, the excess material on the surface will disappear.
A local contractor is on site, striping the parking lots at the Clubhouse. These parking lots take a beating over the winter because they serve as a staging ground for materials used during our capital projects and improvements.
The irrigation is finally repaired on #10. We will be doing more cleaning in this area today and as well as getting it ready to be resurfaced, hopefully next week one day. We also learned this morning, that our power wire to the satellite box on #10, is no longer functioning. This means I'll have to set up a temporary power pole on Pipers Court and run wire from it to the satellite box, until we are able to get a new irrigation system. Finally, below, we had a mysterious wet spot pop up in #8 fairway. It turns out this is a spring coming out of a rock below the surface. We are left without a choice but to pipe this underground, farther down the approach. This spring has been a real challenge as we've been presented with issues that are normally better suited for winter work.
