The Great Water Line Break of 2019

This morning, a relatively small waterline break on Hummingbird Lane turned into a bigger leak after the pipe broke in two.  The 'on-call' town water crew had to come from Franklin, so the water ran a good bit, stirring up some sediment.  The aftermath wasn't too bad; the road had quite a bit of sediment on it that we scraped up with our front-end loader.  Once the remainder of the sediment dries this evening, we will use our sweeper to clean up the rest.  There is never a dull moment around the club and I'm grateful for the town crew, who got here and quickly identified the proper valve to get the water stopped.

This 2.5" line broke in half causing water and sediment to cover Hummingbird Lane.
