It is the height of the season (mid-July) and a majority of #15 green hasn't seen the sun yet...it is 11:00am! By now, healthy turfgrass should have experienced a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight. These are the types of issues that are holding us back at Highlands CC. Without sun, we have to really watch how aggressive we get with our maintenance practices because these greens can't sustain quality turf with that much sun lacking. The green committee and golf architecture committee are aware of these issues and we are working on laying out a plan that will ensure you have quality turf into the future.
