Ever since 2007, the golf industry has seen a decline in a number of ways including those getting into the business- both golf professionals and superintendents. I was recently reading an article written by a well known head hunter in the business who had this to say. The lack of folks entering the business along with baby boomers exiting the business has created a shortage of qualified superintendents. The labor challenges in the industry will continue to become more complex. This supply and demand issue will be good for superintendents and slightly harder for clubs and golf courses.
