Snapping Turtle

On a sunny day, you can see snapping turtles floating on top of Club Lake.  Some of these turtles have seen a lot of changes around the club since their life expectancy can last up to 50 years!  Click on the link above for an article and video of a snapping turtle biting into a pineapple.  The power these creatures have is incredible.  If you ever catch one, it's best to simply cut the line to avoid getting bit!

Interestingly, The lifespan of a turtle varies greatly depending on the species of turtle. For example, a typical pet turtle can live between 10-80 years or so while larger species can easily live over 100 years. According to the “Guinness Book of World Records”, sea turtles have the longest lifespan of up to 152 years.
