After three nights where the temperature hovered around 50*F, the greens on the golf course are substantially greener compared to one week ago! As I say a lot, it is the night temperature that drives the growth of turf more so than the day temperatures.
Matthew and Baldermar are correcting a drainage issue on the 17th hole. We aren't quite sure what is going on just yet, but our excavator is being moved to the 17th hole this afternoon to dig deeper into this problem- no pun intended!
On the 1st hole, we are looking to reshape the pine straw bed to the left of the green. This will allow for easier maintenance and better aesthetics. We will use a sod cutter to remove the turf on the left side of the white line and we will plant some additional ornamentals.
