It was a productive day, all things considered. One of the best things about this business and job is that no two days are the same. That can also lead to some frustration but in the big picture, it keeps us on our toes and challenged. As I've said before, this team is second to none and can handle just about anything thrown their way. We pretty well cleaned up the fallen trees on the front nine and got a jump cutting those that fell on the back nine.
As you can see below, some Highlands residents experienced some property damage. It is interesting to me that there are some areas that were impacted worse than others. Hudson Road, for example, had a lot of damage compared to most areas.
I met with Ken this afternoon and confirmed that Ladies Day is cancelled tomorrow. However, the golf course will open at 12 noon. While we will have greens and tees blown off- we will not be mowing until Thursday morning. The entire staff will be focused on cleaning up the golf course. Like I said, we got a jump on it today and I feel like it will take a solid 2 days to get it back in shape. The staff is up to the challenge and there is no question in my mind that it will get done! Your patience and support are appreciated!
