Just talked with Lamar.
Bad news. Trees, lines and poles are down and mixed together. It will take days to put up new poles and reconnect to some areas of the town. Lamar is trying to get additional private crews, but they are mostly committed to Florida and Texas. Lamar is working hard to find additional help. He has one company sending help tomorrow.
We will be setting up debris sites later today at the lower parking lot at the Rec. park and at Zachary field. The county will be coordinating plans to set this system up. We will put this info on the radio once the sites are in place.
We are taking calls at town hall.
