Check out this Largemouth Bass hanging out by #18 ladies tee! It is easily 18"-20" long! While we continue to stock rainbow trout, bass make for a much better lake fish. They tolerate (actually need) warmer water temperatures. When faced with a drought like last year, the trout struggled. Water temperatures over 68 degrees create a stressful environment for trout since the oxygen in the water is depleted as temperatures rise. Bass on the other hand, prefer the warmer temperatures and stagnant water. I feel it's important to keep a good balance of bass and trout in the lake to hopefully enhance the fishing experience.
