After 2" of rain on Wednesday, we are back at it. We are letting the course dry out, keeping equipment on the course to a minimum. The staff is busy putting pine straw out as well as trying to get the clean up effort completed. We are also barrowing a local hydroseeder and seeding the many areas, out of play, that have been disturbed during the off season. The hydroseeder applies a slurry of water, seed, fertilizer and hydromulch (recycled paper fiber). This allows the seed to stay damp, resulting in faster germination. We also apply wildflower seeds this way. However, the weather isn't on our side today as temperatures won't get out of the 30's and winds are projected to gust up to 40mph tonight. It looks like by Sunday, temperatures will be back into the 60's. This morning, we even had a few snow flurries, off and on.
