The last few years, we've determined that nematodes are something we live with and need to keep an eye on at Highlands CC. But what are they? Check out this video of a Petri dish that contains nematodes. They flush these out of the soil sample I send off and then physically count them under a microscope. The last post, shows those numbers. It is a tedious process, for sure. If not kept in check, these microscopic worms, that are 1/300th of an inch long, can really be destructive if populations increase to high levels!
