Please be careful on areas like this that make ideal habitats for yellow jacket nests. Typically, south facing, full sun, steep slopes are chosen. If your golf ball happens to land in an area like this, I would recommend dropping one rather than searching the area and potentially disturbing a nest. Also, pets are just as prone to bee attacks and can be affected just as humans can. If you see a specific nest, please call me directly (787-2778) and give me the location. Asking someone else to tell me rarely works. Usually I will get a very vague disruption like, "someone said there is a yellow jacket nest near, #9 tees...I think." That doesn't help much. If you are able to mark it by throwing a tee or something else in the general vicinity, that is very helpful! Of course, safety first! Let me stress, throwing a tee or other object in the vicinity. When you call, you can say, I threw a white tee near it, for example. Dry and hot summers tend to make for a healthy yellow jacket population and we are now at that time where they are getting ornery!
