Today I treated our honey bee hives for the vermoa mite. This mite is what many experts claim to be responsible for the colony collapse disorder affecting bees across the world. We've had bees the last 3 years and this is the most successful. The honey is delicious! Beekeeping is a very rewarding and interesting hobby and a marvel of nature. They have moved into the upper box of both hives. This is the box we harvest from while the bottom floor remains in tact for the bees themselves.
