Tomorrow we will be performing a needle tine venting of greens. This is necessary to allow oxygen to get to the root system after months of increased play, aggressive maintenance and the excess rain we experienced this month. This is a minimally invasive process and the green will be very playable tomorrow. By Wednesday, it will hardly be noticeable. This will be immediately followed with sand topdressing and applications of 2 products: Calcite Calcium and a Potassium product. With the forecasted rain this week, it is a good time to take advantage of this opportunity. We strive to have a very low impact aerification program during the golf season. There are times that it is required for the long term health of our greens. Upcoming maintenance includes:
Tuesday, September 6th: DryJect
Monday November 7th and Tuesday 8th: DryJect 2 directions on Greens and 1 direction on Approaches
Monday November 28th: Greens Aerification (golf course closes for the season)
