According to the Highlands Biological Station, we've had approximately 0.9" of rain in the last month and we are currently 20" of rain behind the average! If you recall, last year was similar although I don't think it was quite this dry. Last year, September 1st, we were 40" behind or average and finished the year 5" over. Think about that....we average 6-10" a rain a month. That means sept-December, 4 months, we made up 40" in addition to the average! Keep in mind the city of Atlanta averages in the 50" range all year!
