About 10,000 square feet of washed bentgrass sod was delivered this morning for the croquet courts. Installation will commence soon even with the poor weather. The term washed sod means the soil layer that normally comes with sod was pressure washed off of the sod, leaving only plants and roots. This avoids installing a heavy soil layer on top of sand we paid a lot of money for, in order to create a well draining surface.
