Tree sap...

This picture doesn't do this justice but I thought this was interesting.  I can only assume due to temperature and pressure buildup in the tree, while limbing some low maple limbs on #1 this afternoon, the tree would drip water/sap immediately when the chainsaw nicked the limb.  It is only this time of year that I've seen this and it's rather fascinating.  I tried to get a photo of water drops dripping from the cut.  If only these were Sugar Maples, it would be fun to collect the sap this time of year and make syrup and candy.  Tapping sugar maples is a pretty interesting process.
