The photo below is my all time favorite HCC picture! You can actually see Lake Sequoya in the background. Furthermore, you can see all of the white pines between #5 and 6 were actually planted! Thomas Harbison (an early highlands settler and botanist) was apparently in love with white pines and is credited with bringing many to the area. I am luck to have this photo as it came from the collection of George Maza at the Highlands Historical Society. It was given to me by a good friend and past chairman of HHS.
