Thursday, we made a much needed earthworm suppression application on a few fairways like #3. Unfortunately, this is something we deal with at HCC. Their castings can become a playability nightmare. However, through sand topdressing over the years we are better able to keep it to a minimum in most areas.
Swan Lake is much improved since we received some rain and it flushed the bladderwort (aquatic weed) down stream. Our chemical applications have been effective. The irrigation system remains shut down to avoid pumping the herbicide into our pipes.
