Wednesday

There is a lot of action on the 18 tee complex.  Golfers and workers.  The skip laurel that were damaged by a brutal winter were removed and the areas were sodded this afternoon.  Thank you for your patience while we slowly got this done.  I feel the area is much improved.

With the rain of the last few weeks and a big 4th of July weekend on the horizon, followed by the Men's Member-Guest tournament immediately after, we are in need of more time in a day.  We started work this morning at 4am in order to get ahead of the ladies day shotgun.  I am often asked why we occasionally have "ridiculously early" start times.  The answer is simple.  In order for us to keep up with the demands of the membership, it is a necessity at times.  Shotgun start events like ladies day require us to get a large workload completed before 9am.  In order to make that happen, we have to start extra early.  While most are not impacted by it, I do understand the frustration it causes to those who own golf course property.  Unless we were to switch to a tee time format, there is very little we can do without affecting the quality of your golf course.
