Another possible project talked about in the green committee is expanding the Jones tee on the 2nd hole. This tee is very small and being a par 3, it receives a lot of abuse in the form of divots. In order to expand the tee, we have two options. We can only gain several feet expanding back if the goal is to have a rock sitting wall no taller than 24". Going forward is where we would gain the most. However, going forward would require a rock retaining wall of substantial height; over 6 feet. By combining both of these, we could double the size of the tee. The cost would essentially come from engineered walls and rock work. The rest of the project could simply be completed in-house. I am also confidant, with the correct landscaping, the large rock wall in front of the tee (behind the Ross tee) could be hidden and made less intrusive.
