Today we are fertilizing greens with a granular product of 13-2-13. Much like was discussed in our tee fertilization post, a strong fall fertility program is crucial to developing root growth. During times of cooler air temperatures throughout the fall, soil temperatures can stay consistently much warmer, offering great growing conditions. Therefore fertilizing during these conditions will push nutrients to help root development and carbohydrate storage, giving way to a much more vigorous growth in the spring.
