Ongoing spring work...

Today we are busy rolling greens. You see me pictured on our new roller. This roller is much faster than the old roller and can do the work of two because of its speed. This saves labor and fuel.

Our last load of sod came last night. We are putting the finishing touches on the golf course in regards to sod. We have also spent a lot of time spraying broadleaf weeds. Its that time of years when a variety of broadleaf weeds are germinating.

Finally, we are fertilizing greens today with a 14-2-14 fertilizer to give the greens a boost and promote faster healing. We need to be very careful and be patient because we are certain we will be dealing with more cold weather. HCC opens very early in the season compared to other mountain clubs and with that, we need to be patient with Mother Nature. Weather and Temperature will dictate the speed at which the greens recover.
