After today, all the new bunkers will be topped off with new bunker sand. We are putting 6 inches of sand and compacting it down to 4".
Cross is working on staining the treated lumber on the rains shelter on #15, If you recall, all of the railing and supports were replaced this winter out of necessity.
On #1, we are getting ready to cross the fairway with a 12" diameter pipe that will handle the drainage coming from the Fairway Villas (Condos).
On the 15th hole, we are getting ready for a load of creeping bentgrass sod that is being delivered tomorrow.
Michael is busy with a project behind the 16th green. This maintenance path unfortunately stands out too much from the 16th tee box. We studied this with our architect, Ron Forse, and came up with the idea to narrow it and make this a two-track path; a gravel road with a strip of grass down the center. In addition, we are going to acid stain the gravel to make it very dark and less noticeable. Stay tuned for more photos the next day or two.
