Tuesday

Lots of activity on #1 on this frosty morning in Highlands...

Green-Tee Golf, our contractor, is now starting to rough in the new bunker shapes on #1.  This is a fun process to watch and you'd be most impressed with the skill and vision that's required from the operator in the excavator.  While a lot of it is simple math and geometry, there is definitely a high level of skill and art that goes into shaping golf courses.

Above, Hap is taking a breather from chasing his ball to put his stamp of approval on this fairway bunker.

As you know, Rhododendron in Highlands can almost be invasive!  On a golf course, it's always important to keep them pruned in areas so we don't lose options in how a particular hole is played.  On #9, a large rhododendron was cut because it was blocking a good portion of the view of #9 fairway from the tee.
