Our first fish stocking of year took place today! Below, you can see one of many tiger trout that were stocked in our lake and ponds. A tiger trout is a cross between a brook and brown trout. In addition to these, rainbows, browns and brooks were all added to our lake and ponds. Winter stocking is so much healthier for the fish because the water temperature is low and dissolved oxygen content is high.

We started some minor tree pruning and removal today. On the 5th hole, two of the apple trees on the right side of the hole were aggressively pruned to stimulate new growth. Unfortunately, both apple trees on our property are in a state of decline. On #10, a large white pine on the left side of the fairway was removed. Check out the video below where we used a zip line to get the limbs down to the fairway!
On #6, we've encountered rock just like I thought we would. Fortunately, we were able to loosen it up with an excavator and blasting wasn't required.
The new boulder wall on #15 is looking great. By the end of Friday, we are just lacking sod.
