Above is a Master Plan for Sidewalks map showing the potential expansion of sidewalks in and around Highlands that was released at Today's Town Board Retreat. I would anticipate a sidewalk down Dillard Road within the next couple years. Macon County and NCDOT have interest in this as well. This is a $1M project but there is some private funding interest that could subsidize the project.
In other town news, the Moorewood Road water line project is soon to be underway now that the contractor was able to secure the materials. The Town Engineer is looking to get that underway within 2 weeks.
