These three photos give you an idea of the bunker work that is taking place. Not only is the size increasing, but the depth, shape and slopes are as well. The slopes around each bunker are being built to the slopes and style you'd see in the early 1900's, before the days of modernized equipment that allowed shapers to create more intricate bunker faces. Donald Ross' bunkers are traditionally grass faces with 1:1 slope at the most. All of the soil that is being generated from this bunker on #14, will be used to level our new forward tees that are being constructed at the same time.
