Each spring, we rent a one-ton asphalt roller to smooth out the greens post aerification. Today is that day! The Freeze-thaw effect also heaves the turf slightly and this helps smooth that out as well. This is a practice we're able to get away with this time of year, but isn't something the turf and root system would tolerate during the season.
